Oklahoma is often referred to as "Native America" or the "Sooner State", is situated in the region commonly known as the American Heartland. Oklahoma City and Tulsa are both primary economic engine of the state. Tulsa has been rated as one of the best 50 cities to do business in the country. In recent years, Oklahoma has become the second largest natural gas-producing state in the nation. Only Texas surpasses Oklahoma in natural gas production.
