Every home has a unique odor. I'd like to get rid of some unpleasant smell in my house. Anyone can suggest some easy and economical way? The cost for candles and air refreshner does add up.

I have tried candies, air fresheners, open windows, and standalone air purifier and nothing compares to using an activated charcoal to get rid of unpleasant smells.
1. The cost is so cheap. It will last a long long time.
2. It really catches the molecules of bad odors, not disguise it with a layer of air freshener's perfume.
You can simply lay a few out in a metal tray. Or put them in socks and place them in inconspicuous areas. Activated charcoal has a lot of microscopic pores that attract and absorb odors.
