I figure the quick the paint dries the better. Would summer be the best time to paint the exterior walls?

Depending on where you live, summer might not be the best time of the year to paint. Mainly because the high temperature can dry paint too quickly, which can cause peeling in the future. The best time to paint is when it's dry and warm. Ideally, the temperature should be in the suggested range and above the dew point for at least 48 hours after application. And avoid applying paint in direct sunlight.

Late spring would be the best to paint the exterior when the weather is clear, temperature is warm and steady, no more pollen.
