Did you have a final walkthrough before moving out? Usually that's when your landlord gives you the reason for keeping the deposit or any additional charges for repair.

Landlord should give you itemized damages and good reason for not returning your deposit, otherwise you could suit for the deposit by law.
If you left the house in bad condition except normal wear and tear, then you should be responsible to pay your landlord.
