My patio sliding door glass (on the fixed side) has mysteriously shattered, like shown in the picture. Anybody has seen this before?

The glass seems to have been broken by blunt force. The "spider web" shatter is typical of the tempered glass for safety reason.

That is called "spontaneous breakage", and it happens on tempered safety glass. It could be the heat, or contraction of the door frame. Or some one bb gunned it.
