Ogemaw County is a great place to live. It is a laid back and friendly community with a small city feel. Living in the country has let my children grow and develop without the stiffling city limitations. School systems are good, its not far from the bigger cities of Bay City, Saginaw but far enough that the fresh air and country living do wonders for the soul. If you think country living is boring, think agian. Pick up a newspaper sometime and you will see there is something to do spring, summer, winter, or fall. If you have an adventurous soul you will find you are never home. Outdoor living is a plus: water/snow (crosscountry/downhill) skiing, fishing, motorsports galore, hunting, golfing, bird/wildlife watching, swimming, exploring to your hearts and minds content is possible here. 30 lakes within 30 minutes, rivers (canoe, water rafting), streams, and even the great Lake Huron is not far. Our towns of West Branch and Tawas put on many weekend get togethers, movies, wine tasting, festivals, fairs, you name it and it can happen here. Hope you have the time to enjoy!!!!
