FindMyRoof.com released its latest update last night and it is a major release for our team within the past 6 months.

Here are some of the highlights in this release:

1. We have eliminated the category pages and the bread crumb on each page. The newly introduced navigation bar will provide users an easier and quicker way to navigate through the site. Now visitors can go into the property listing with just one click on the main menu, then can further narrow down the selection by choosing the property type, geographic location, and property features on the same page.
2. The newly improved Google map features show visitors all essential information on the spot if one clicks on a specific property.
3. There are some cosmetic changes as well to enhance user experience on our site.

The ad posting process has been streamlined! It is simple and straightforward. You can post your ad instantly.

New interesting features:

1. We have made the ad renewal step easier! This is a key feature that we often get feedbacks from our users. Renewing your ad can be done by just clicking on the link in the ad renewal email that we send to our ad posters 7 days prior to expiration. You are just one click away from extending your ad now.
2. We have increased the capability of uploading bigger size photos up to 4M.
3. Longer ad period. We have doubled the regular ad period from 30 to 60 days per cycle!

The creation of Findmyroof.com real estate business directory:
Our new real estate business directory is providing useful information on real estate related products and services. Quality and relevancy is our goal and we code name it “Suggest a Biz” real estate directory.

We are committed to maintaining the high standard of listings and give the online community a tool to find the best and the most relative information on the web.

We are pleased to announce our new instant flyer feature that we have created for advertising your property.

After posting your ad, you can choose to create a flyer based on your ad content in just one click. The flyer is in .pdf file so you will need to have Adobe Reader to view it, and print it out.

This is a great feature to save you time in creating a flyer from scratch and you will find it extremely easy to use.

FindMyRoof.com has added the Google map capability.

If a property has a valid address, it will be mapped on the Google Map. The “show on Google Map” link can be found on the property listing pages and search result pages.

We are using the Google map APIs and AJAX technology to make this available to our users.

The mapping however is not in real time and this is our Beta release.

The RSS feed can bring our ad postings to your favorite Yahoo or Google home page and keep you updated with the latest.

Right now, we only have the feed for the new postings. In the near future, we will add state feed or category specific feed for more targeted requests.
