The property is protected from future development by a conservation easement, administered by the Lebanon Valley Conservancy, that restricts building or subdivision. A one-acre envelope around the existing house, yard, and detached garage is excluded from the provisions of the conservation easement so that the owner/resident is free to alter their immediate surroundings as they might choose, for example should they wish to add an in-ground swimming pool, tennis courts, etc. In addition to this exclusion, the easement allows construction of one structure on the protected land to house horses or other livestock for personal and non-commercial purposes.
