Dauphin Island is set back in time. No traffic lights and no thru traffic. Just an island long bike path, slow vehicle speed limits and an occasional stop sign. The only people on the island are owners, workers or those visiting.

Except for the Subway at the Circle K gas station, there are no multinational corporations providing food and shopping. Just mom/pop establishments everywhere, including the hardware/store combo called Ship and Shore.

There is a full binder under the TV, listing most of the wonderful parks, beaches and assorted things to do all over the island and beyond.

The on-site support staff are wonderful. They have been taking care of all my needs for 14 years now.

The $400 condo dues covers everything except the annual assessment for insurance/major repairs and your electric bill. The list includes wireless internet, 50+ cable channels, water bill, pool maintenance, lawn care , and trash removal. The average electric bill is $130.
